When Tom Brady Said He Wanted 2 Be A Patriot 4 Life He Meant It

It gos without saying that my Bradyboner is as big as it’s legally allowed to be right now, outside of regular season clutch victory, playoff fanticipation or Super Bowl full staffery.  Obviously he has enough money on his own for him, his kids, and 50 Brangelina families to come.  Then you factor in Yoko Bundchen’s fortunes and they could chip in and own part of Heinz with that Jimmy Buffett fella.  So it’s not about the money for TFB.  It’s about the game.  The legacy.  His mark.  His team.  He took probably less than half of what he could have commanded on the open market to make sure the Pats have money to play with in free agency, now and for years to come (BETCHA WELKAH LOVED THIS NEWS), ensuring a competitive team.  But more importantly he took half so he can assure HE stays on the Pats and finishes his career where he belongs.  Hot footballs, I’m so happy.  Possibly, at least, give more years of TFB. That means we’re gonna always be in it to win, plus I don’t have to worry about what a blubbering man-mess I’ll be the day he retires.
To read the full impact of this from a professional writer’s standpoint skip Peter King and go straight to my boy Erik Frenz’s piece at Bleachah Report.
Oh,and for those wondering if this is good for the Pats, a potentially 39 year old QB in the ever-evolving, speed-increasing NFL?  Hey, like TFB can get any slower, right?  He’s slower than frozen shit right now, and the Pats have been pretty good on his watch.  I’ll take my chances.
This is is how it’s supposed to go.  This is how we all want to see it play out.  This is the story.  So glad TFB wants to make sure he does his part to help author the storybook ending.  Best Patriot ever.  Favorite Boston sports athlete ever.
CUT TO: Buffalo, Miami and the offices of the Jets - “Aww, fahk.”
