One of the many images from last night’s game that will stick with us for a while; Aaron Dobson doing his best Reche Caldwell, circa the AFC Championship from Jan 2007 after dropping a pass from TFB. Well, turns out, when TFB hit Dobson in stride on a bomb last night and the rook couldn’t make the play, his eyes became wide as saucers. And Caldwell’s unforgettable face came to mind. Pretty sure Dobson wishes he had that one back, and will be working the Juggs machine every day between now and Tampa next Sunday. Else he risk drawing the further ire of the blazing TFB we saw last night. Not that he himself was perfecto footballo either. But I can’t say I blame him either.

Once again we find ourselves thanking the gridiron gods that ugly is not a stat, and that it’s all about the W’s. We’re also thanking those same gods for Geno Smith being a rookie, and for Juliajn Edelman embracing the role of white receiver under 6 feet tall that Brady looks to throw to on every other play, and doing it well, too. The Pats squeaked another one out against a division foe, this one in what had to have been one of the sloppiest, ugliest, most frustrating games in memory. But hey - 2 games, 2 wins by a combined total of 5 points. Whatever gets the job done, right?

Just hoping Brady, and Dobson, and Belichick, and all of us can make it through the season if the Pats are going to try and win in survivalist mode every game. I might be doing my best Dobson Face before long then, too.

More later - Happy Friday and enjoy the 9 days of victory, you bums. Talk soon. GFY. Let’s go Pats!!!
